Brockport’s 2020 Jobs & Internships Fair will take place on Wednesday, March 4th, from 1 PM – 4 PM in the SERC. Over 100 recruiters from a diverse group of companies and organizations will be looking for students to hire for ALL MAJORS! No matter where you are in your college career, this is a great event to explore your options and learn about your future career field. This is your chance to make meaningful connections, engage with employers hiring in your field of interest, and secure your next job or internship.
Volunteers would be helping with checking in employers and students, set up/clean up, greeting employers and directing them, greeting fair attendees, checking on employers throughout the fair and helping with the LinkedIn booth. Volunteers will also get a t-shirt and lunch.
Volunteer Shifts
9:00 am-10:00 am
Setup for employer's arrival
Collect Balloons from Union, set up along pathway and entrance to SERC
10:00 am-11:00 am
Greet employers/direct them to follow balloons to SERC entrance
11:00 am-12:00 pm
Door Duty—Welcome employers as they enter SERC, direct them to registration table
12:00 pm-1:00 pm
Runners for employers—Escort employers to their table. Offer to help move/setup materials
Ask employers if they have any questions about the fair or need anything
Inform employers of where lunch and restrooms are
Door Duty—Welcome students as they enter; direct students to registration table
1:00 pm-4:00 pm
Usher for Students—Assist staff at registration table with passing out job fair materials
Remind students as they enter/leave to take free LinkedIn profile pictures
*2:30-3:00—Hand out water bottles to employers; ask if they need anything*
LinkedIn Booth—Collect student information (800#, name, emails) Answer questions students may have about LinkedIn
4:00 pm-5:00 pm
Clean Up
Thank employers for coming and offer to assist with bringing materials to the car
