Tunnel of Oppression is an event held every spring semester in the Student Union in order to increase Brockport's awareness of the different oppression and privileges that impact our world. It is an annual event that showcase various types of oppression throughout the world in the Union Ballroom. This year Tunnel of Oppression is Tuesday, February 25th through Wednesday, February 26th, in the Union Ballroom. Volunteers will spend their time serving in both roles, Narrator/Guide and Greeter, for one(1) hour each to complete their two(2) hour shift.
There are two roles for volunteers:
- Narrator/Guide: Guide participants through the different rooms of the tunnel and read the scripts provided for each room
- Greeter: Check participants in and assign them a Narrator/Guide
