The Gathering Table is a free meal provided to anyone in our community on the third Sunday of each month. Join us for a hot and delicious meal in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, complete with dessert, of course! Each month offers a different entrée (with sides) such as homemade lasagna, meatloaf, baked BBQ chicken, ham and scalloped potatoes, etc. Tables are set for our guests to come eat, relax and enjoy the company of others. Some months, we even have live music!
The Gathering Table also provides a wonderful opportunity in which to serve our community. We often have volunteers and groups from outside our church come to help and we are enormously grateful to all those who serve food, bus tables, play music, etc. Volunteers may dress casually (jeans and shirts are fine as long as they are clean) and wear appropriate shoes (no slippers or sandals).
Volunteers will help with:
- 4-5 people to serve food (buffet style)
- 2 people to bus tables
- 2 people to wash and dry dishes
- Everyone to help with clean-up and take-down after the meal.
