Family Room Volunteers oversee a lounge area at Unity Hospital, committed to the RMHCR mission of promoting children's health and well-being. This Family Room offers refreshments, snacks, and a tranquil space for families of children receiving treatment, as well as a respite for families awaiting the birth of a baby.
Essential Tasks:
Welcoming and registering visitors to the Family Room
Operating equipment to brew coffee and bake cookies
Serving snacks and beverages following food safety guidelines
Keeping the lounge tidy and clean
Updating supply and food inventories
Respecting patient confidentially at all times
Following opening and closing procedures
Preferred Skills:
Flexibility Ability to problem solve
Basic Computer Skills
Requirements:
Training and orientation to RMHCR Standards and Volunteer Department at Unity Hospital
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to handle physical demands, such as bending and lifting. Possibility of long periods of standing
Ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds
Adheres to RMHC mission, values and policies
