Volunteer Opportunity Description
PlantHERPurpose, Inc. is seeking 15 volunteers for Brockport’s Saturday of Service to participate in an interactive, hands-on volunteer experience.
Volunteers will take part in Week One: Rooted in Healing, experiencing the same Soil Painting garden activity that participants complete during our six-week trauma-informed program. This immersive opportunity allows volunteers to gain a deeper understanding of PlantHERPurpose’s mission while exploring how gardening, creativity, and reflection can support healing and personal growth.
Volunteers will assist with the activity, engage in meaningful discussion, and learn how garden-based education is used to empower women in our community. No gardening experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, serve, and make a positive impact.

Volunteer Activities:
- Participate in the Week One “Soil Painting” activity
- Learn about trauma-informed, garden-based programming
- Assist with activity setup and cleanup
- Engage in reflection and discussion
- Support PlantHERPurpose’s mission of healing through soil and community
