Saturday of Service is typically a program where incoming students have the opportunity to participate in direct service in their new community. However, due to COVID-19 we are adjusting our traditional format to more of an educational approach. College is viewed as a time to discover one's values and civic commitments in one's personal and professional life. Participating in this series will help begin this process for you. Learn about the different ways you can contribute to Building a Better Brockport.
One way is exchanging and weighing different ideas, perspectives, and approaches around particular issues in a public setting.
Examples:
- Organizing ongoing local discussion circles
- Using a National Issues Forums guide to prompt a group to consider multiple options on an issue
